The simulation software puts you at the controls of a modern wheel loader at work in a typical quarry, in interaction with a simulated Off-Highway Truck. Both stick-steering (as in large wheel loaders) and steering wheel steering (as in smaller ones) are available. You can even use the keyboard function keys and mouse controls during the simulation to change the point of view!

Simply set up the simulator controls, install the award-winning simulation software (in English, French, or Spanish) on your desktop or laptop PC, and begin!

Add a big screen display for "life size" graphics, and quality speakers for the audio feedback. Simlog even offers a vibration system to enhance the simulation experience. There are setup options to suit almost every budget.

You can either use your own PC or choose the convenience of our PC bundle with the Simlog software already installed, licensed, and ready to go in English, French, or Spanish.

Replica ControlsOperator ChairSoftware Description

Software Description

Eight (8) Simulation Modules of increasing level of difficulty begin by teaching basic skills and coordination in early exercises such as “Corridor Driving” and “Bucket Placement.” Later Simulation Modules culminate skills training with advanced productivity exercises such as “Load and Carry” and “Truck Loading with Spotting.”

Simulation Modules

The Wheel Loader Personal Simulator features twelve "Simulation Modules", as follows:

  • Controls Familiarization
  • Corridor Driving – Wide
  • Corridor Driving – Narrow
  • Bucket Placement
  • Stockpiling
  • Truck Loading
  • Load & Carry
  • Truck Loading with Spotting

Key Performance Indicators

Forty-five key Performance indicators carefully measure the productivity and quality of the student’s work, as they progress their way through the Simulation Modules. The Simulation Results measured include “Execution time,” “Mass of material spilled between digging and dumping,” “Time spent with bucket in digging zone,” and “Productivity of digging and dumping material.”

Simulation Manager

Simulation results are automatically saved, so trainees can progress at their own pace without trainer supervision. To simplify the record keeping, Simlog offers a database product called Simulation Manager, and the same database can be used with all of our Personal Simulators.

Low Total Cost of Ownership & Quick ROI

Real affordability, that’s how Simlog sets the standard in cost-effective simulation. The fact is, training with our Personal Simulator is a fraction of the cost of training with a real wheel loader, especially considering that even small accidents due to operator inexperience can mean thousands of dollars in replacement parts and downtime. And the purchase of the simulation software license is a one time fee, to keep the total cost of ownership as low as possible, with no restrictions on the number of people that you can train.>/p>

The software license, a one time fee, will pay for itself when you train just a handful of new operators. How? Consider the rising costs of putting a real wheel loader to work with a qualified instructor, the damage and downtime that inexperience can cause, and finally the risk of possible injury. That’s why it just makes sense to prepare new operators with Simlog help. Operator Chair for Wheel Loader Personal Simulator

Simlog’s new Operator Chair with industrial controls is a cost-effective way to train wheel loader operators, with our Wheel Loader simulation software, in a safe and realistic environment.

Compared to Table-Top Mounting Brackets, Simlog’s Operator Chair offers a superior simulation experience, thanks to an authentic operator seat with consoles for the left and right hands, and a steering column. All are mounted on an industrial platform with casters, for easy portability. Configurations are available for both steering-wheel steering and stick-steering.

For the steering wheel steering configuration, the left and right consoles include one Multi-Purpose Replica Controls joystick for controller functions such as lift arm and bucket control, and a Transmission Lever, to simulate an authentic operating experience. The steering column is adjustable, and easily pivots and telescopes to numerous angles. The Operator Chair also includes integrated pedals.

For the stick steering configuration, there are two Multi-Purpose Replica Controls joysticks for operator control functions and steering control for the wheel loader articulation.

The Operator Chair in both stick steering and steering wheel steering configurations also includes a USB-ready pedal unit, featuring clutch, brake and throttle functions. But if you already have a Simlog Operator Chair that you are using with some other Personal Simulator, then you may be able to re-configure that Operator Chair by purchasing additional elements. To learn more, please contact Simlog.

Key Features

  • Authentic industrial operator seat, with headrest, air suspension, and seat-belt
  • Adjustable seat position (forward/backwards, three vertical positions)
  • Adjustable armrests (in height and angle)
  • Integrated left and right consoles for joystick controls (stick steering) and/or and transmission lever (steering-wheel steering)
  • Fully functional industrial style pedals
  • Five possible pedal positions, to create the typical placements found in real operator cabins
  • Steel platform with heavy-duty casters for easy portability

Possible Setups

There are three possible arrangements, one with a single display in front, one with three displays and the other with three displays in portrait mode.

Operator Chair Specifications

  • Overall Dimensions: L 60” x W 34” x H 47”
  • Weight: 330 lbs.
  • Shipping Dimensions: 67" x 43" x 44"
  • Shipping Weight: approximately 550 lbs. One unit per skid, not stackable.
  • 120 VAC/60 Hz, 220-240VAC/50 Hz

Vibration System

Vibration increases the realism of our Personal Simulators by adding physical (tactile) feedback to the audio and visual, making the experience more “immersive” at little additional cost, especially when compared to a motion platform.

The vibration that you feel is generated from the simulation software’s audio system as things happen. Engine idling, collisions with obstacles, digging virtual terrain, etc. can all be seen, heard and experienced! Adding vibration improves the realism of the simulation and makes the simulator-based training more compelling, encouraging trainees to be more serious and learn more carefully.

For our Operator Chairs, Simlog offers a vibration system that includes the “ButtKicker Simulation Kit” plus special mounting for the operator seat. The “ButtKicker” is a low-frequency sound transducer equipped with its own amplifier and “volume” controller to change the “force” of the vibration created by the simulation software sounds.

Replica Controls for Wheel Loader Personal Simulator

Simlog’s Replica Controls for the Wheel Loader Personal Simulator feature industrial strength components suitable for both table-top mounting and Simlog’s new Operator Chair.

Replica Controls begin with an industrial USB joystick with 8 push-buttons for the lift arm and bucket control, along with horn, throttle lock, and kickout programming.

For Steering Wheel Steering, add the Logitech “G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel” steering wheel and a three-pedal unit, along with the “G920 Driving Force Shifter,” with push-buttons, to obtain the following simulator controls. Note that the joystick is shown with Simlog’s table-top mounting bracket.

For Stick Steering, add a second replica joystick for the steering control of the wheel loader articulation, along with pedals.
